Dallas Tap Dazzlers

The Dallas Tap Dazzlers, a 501 (c) 3 organization formed eighteen years ago, is not only "still around - they're still kickin'! With a minimum age of 45 (and no upper limit ... some are in their eighties!), this exciting ensemble usually performs multiple times every month, entertaining groups of all types in glittering, quickly-changed costumes. As a result, the Dazzlers have established a reputation as one of the most entertaining and recognizable groups in the Metroplex. They perform for all types of organizations, from nursing homes with an audience of 15-20, to conferences, conventions and banquets attended by thousands. The whole eighteen years (with 1,300 performances) has been quite magical for the Dazzlers! They've performed in places and venues they never would have imagined. A few highlights include being featured on national television in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2000 after marching 2.5 miles in 26 degree temperatures, in high heels, doing high-kicks; being asked to appear on Cross Canadian Ragweed's first music video in 2002 (which was later nominated for "Country Music Video of the Year", and sneaking right past a lot of teenage dancers to capture "Most High Points" in the Regional Star Power competition in 2004! Who knows what might be next? Frances Dempsey is the director.
