Amon Carter Museum


Located in Fort Worth's celebrated Cultural district, the Amon Carter Museum houses one of the nation's preeminent collections of American art, from works by the early 19th-century artist-explorers through those of the mid-20th-century modernists and up to the work of contemporary photographers. The museum offers visitors fresh insights into America's fascinating social and cultural history through great works of art.

Hours
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday: noon to 5 p.m.

Admission is free.

Public Transportation
Public transportation: The #7 bus travels from downtown, through the Cultural District, and south to the Fort Worth Zoo and Texas Christian University. The Trinity Railway Express travels between Fort Worth and Dallas.

Map available at: http://www.cartermuseum.org/visiting Parking lots are on Camp Bowie Boulevard, on the north side of the building, and on Lancaster Avenue, south of the building. On evenings and weekends, parking is available at the University of North Texas Health Science Center east garage on the corner of Clifton Street and Camp Bowie Boulevard.

Special exhibitions; public programs for families and adults
Tours featuring highlights from the permanent collection take place Thursday through Sunday at 2 p.m. and begin at the Information Desk. No reservations are required.
