ArtVentures Studio

ArtVentures Studio was founded in 1988 by Joetta Welch Currie to provide quality, art education for children. Nestled in the heart of Rockwall, Texas, just a block and a half north of the historic downtown, this unique facility provides a wonderful and stimulating atmosphere to inspire the creative mind.

The ArtVentures Philosophy places an emphasis on the process of making art from conception to completion. Instructors provide direction in establishing a strong foundation with knowledge of artistic elements and principles. New techniques, styles and skills are introduced and explored to broaden the students understanding of the visual arts. Imaginations are expanded, confidence grows and good creative fun is had by all. Young artists make lasting friendships from their common interest and love of art. ArtVentures curriculum meets or exceeds the National Standards for Visual Art Education.

ArtVentures Preschool and After School Elementary Programs offer fun, hands on art activities that help to acquaint young students with the foundations of art as they were discovering the foundations of language, math and science.

A variety of artistic discipline, medium and technique help to promote awareness, stimulate ideas and help students sharpen innate talents. Opportunity for exhibit, small classes, field trips, and a non judgmental, non competitive environment, nourishes self confidence in young artists.

Our Teen Programs help to provide a positive creative outlet and help instill, encourage and support a lifelong interest in the world of art.

ArtVentures is proud to be a part of the Rockwall County Alliance for the Arts, Youth ArtReach Grant Program.
This grant provides scholarships for cultural arts education to children whose families can not afford them.
