Charlie Palmer at the Joule

Located in Downtown Dallas, Charlie Palmer at The Joule is housed in an expansion of the former Dallas National Bank, a 1920's era building listed on the National Register of Historical Places and the only Gothic revival style "skyscraper" tower in the city.

Drawing upon the fact that Texas is now the nation's top producer of wind energy, the restaurant's "breezy" theme features lazily spinning turbines within covered ceiling lights that impart a sense of tranquility. The ambiance of natural energy is echoed by a rich, earthy color palette offset by textured materials and limestone flooring, to produce a rugged but sophisticated contemporary environment.

Executive Chef Scott Romano puts a personal twist on classic steakhouse dishes like Poached Black Tiger Shrimp in Bloody Mary vinaigrette and Dry-Aged NY Strip Steak with bone marrow flan, and the wine selection includes an assortment of food-friendly wines such as white and red Burgundies as well as Pierre Peters- Champagne. Adjacent to the restaurant is the first branch of Palmer's Next Vintage wine shop. The temperature-controlled vitrane-like glass and polished showcase makes Palmer's trademark ecelectic wine selection available to diners and well as shoppers, and features electronic touch-screen eWinebooks allowing wine selections by bottle, glass, region, varietal and style.
