DFW Master Songwriting Sessions

DFW Master Songwriting Sessions is a coalition of songwriters of all levels and genres whose goal is to energize local creative momentum by bringing in some of the world's greatest songwriters to share their skills and insights with local artists and writers.

DFW Master Songwriting Sessions sees the DFW Metroplex as an emerging new frontier in the 21st Century Music Industry. Music production and distribution have undergone radical upheavals over the last decade as major labels have folded and the Internet, the iPod and file sharing have revolutionized the music industry.
A serendipitous by-product of this fallout is the rapid rise of Dallas – Ft. Worth as one of the most exciting new music centers in the country.

No longer are LA, New York and Nashville the "Big Three" music cities. In fact, successful independent artists and labels have sprung up all over the country--including right here in North Texas. Long known for its history of great songwriters (Norah Jones, Erykah Badu, Edie Brickell. Don Henley…to name a few), the North Texas area is beginning to receive recognition for both its past legacy of great music and its cutting edge potential for creating the music of the future.
