University of North Texas - Murchison Performing Arts Center
Home to the renowned University of North Texas College of Music, the Murchison Performing Arts Center is in its ninth complete season of hosting world-class performances by students, faculty, guest artists and community members. The Murchison Performing Arts Center features two premiere venues: the Margot and Bill Winspear Performance Hall and the Lyric Theater.
This season features a wide variety of musical programming. In February, the Early Music Department will present a performance by faculty members Cynthia Roberts and Gonzalo Ruiz as well as the Amsterdam Baroque Trio. Guest artist Jim Hall will perform with the award-winning 1:00 Lab Band on February 28th. Spring events also include the opening recital on the Richard Ardoin and Paul Voertman Concert organ and the UNT Opera Theatre department production of Benjamin Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream. On April 23rd, Maestro Anshel Brusilow conducts his final performance with the Symphony Orchestra and Grand Chorus.
The Murchison Performing Arts Center invites you to join us for these events and many others in our Spring 2008 season.
