Over 200,000 books, 7,000 records, 16,000 CD's, and miscellaneous other goods are housed in an historic 17,000 square foot purple -- yes, purple -- building facing Denton's courthouse. It's no exaggeration to state that fresh material finds its way to our shelves hourly! Dealing with this blend of quality and quantity makes us one of the leading independently-owned bookstores in the United States.

"I'm happy to say that this is indeed one of those establishments 'not to be missed' no matter how far you may have to drive to get there. The books, almost universally in good condition, are quite nicely displayed. Every subject is covered in great depth with labels and subheadings. The books are meticulously shelved and the titles represent a wide scope, from the more common (of which we saw few) to the more interesting (of which we saw many). The lower level covers an area equal in size to the main level and a mezzanine is also quite large. If there is anything else I can say to tempt you to visit this store I would certainly do so, but perhaps the best plug I can give this shop is that I walked out with several volumes, all quite reasonably priced, and had we had additional time, I could have easily have filled my trunk.
