Evenings on Oak Street Concert Series: Russ Dorsey and the Musicmakers

Evenings on Oak Street is a free concert series located at Austin Street Plaza, 221 N. Oak St., in historic downtown Roanoke from March through October. The beautiful plaza area includes a covered stage, landscaped green space, picnic area, restrooms and parking area. Come join us for a relaxing Evening on Oak Street and dine at one of Roanoke's over 40 restaurants or shop at the unique shops!

August 22, Russ Dorsey and the Musicmakers.

Mellow Big Band sounds of Russ Dorsey and the Music Makers. Russ has performed with Les Elgart, Guy Lombardo and Les Brown and other name big bands. He toured with the Bob Hope Show and performed on the first two Jerry Lewis telethons.

Concerts are second and fourth Thursdays from 7 - 8 p.m., except as noted during Unique Week, April 8-11, when special concerts are from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m, and Celebrate ROANOKE, October 12!
